You may have seen this pin floating around Pinterest before. This photo was taken at one of my best friend's wedding in 2012 (see post here). It's been exciting to see it turn into such a staple for wedding boards and featured on wedding websites. What's even more hilarious to us is how last minute this idea was. During the rehearsal we were talking about how fun it would be to send a message to the groom as we were all walking down the aisle. Whatever we wrote obviously had to be long enough for the entire bridal party. The first thing that naturally that came to mind was, "Break her and we'll break you." We're clearly a feisty group, but for obvious reasons (like the fact that it was a wedding) we figured we should choose something else.
On the morning of the wedding we brought up the idea again, and immediately this moment from the royal wedding popped into mind...
It was perfect. So about 10 minutes before we left for the wedding, we cut up little pieces of computer paper and with a Sharpie wrote out the message. We kept the message from the bride (she didn't find out until after the wedding) and wrapped the paper around our bouquet stems, rolling them out word by word as we walked down the aisle. Super fun.
He cried. She cried. We all cried.
It's been a treat to see so many bridal parties who have done it since!
