maternity dress

[Necklace: Forever 21, Dress: Target, Bracelet: Vida Kush via Hautelook, and Forever 21]

A few weeks ago I saw this maxi dress on Amanda and completely fell in love with its vibrant  hues. It's a Liz Lange maternity dress, and since I am not pregnant, I figured I would just be lusting over it. However, the other day I was in Target and I couldn't help but try it on when I spotted it on the way to the dressing room.

This maxi is undoubtedly more adorable with a cute baby belly like Amanda's, but I still loved it! To my surprise, the extra fabric in the front of the dress added just enough length for me for a maxi dress to actually look like a maxi dress on me.

Taller ladies out there; where do you find your maxi dresses?

You know who you remind me of? Kate Middleton!

  2. I won't lie...I am always looking at clothes in target and as soon as I start to see really cute stuff, I realize I am in the maternity section. Darn! That dress looks adorable on you though and you would never be able to tell it was maternity.

PS. how does your hair always look so perfect?!?!

    1. It's because Target is like crack and before you know it your all caught up in it's addiction!

It's the lack of humidity out here, it's a miracle because my hair has battled humidity my entire life!

  4. I love 'transitional' pieces like this. I bought a Target maternity dress when I actually WAS pregnant, but it's still getting tons of use 18 months after that baby was born (not pregnant again, and lost all the weight).

Those curls in your hair are soooo pretty, by the way.

    1. I think I freaked my husband out when I came home with it and told him it was a maternity dress, but it's one less to buy when the time does come. ;)

I curl my hair with a straightener! It's stays so much longer!

  5. This dress is so cute!! I found a black maxi in the maternity section a few weeks ago that was amazing. If only I found it a few months earlier I could have used it!! This one looks great.

  6. I love Target's maternity clothes! They're so cute!! Also, I'm pretty jealous there's no humidity out there (I saw your response up there)...I don't know what I would do without humidity.

  7. You are absolutely gorgeous in this!! It looks waaay better on you as a non-maternity dress! Isnt it so comfy? Im excited to know I'll be able to keep wearing it once our baby is here. Thanks for the shout out and so glad you're loving the dress!

  9. I cannot wait to hit up Target! I have a special savings fund I've been contributing to for my first trip there! I'll have to keep my eye out in the maternity section because I can never find maxi's that are long enough for me.

  11. Omigosh, I saw the title and was like, "I go on maternity leave for two months and don't keep up with blogs and Jordan's pregnant and wearing maternity clothes already?" Super cute dress. I wore a non-maternity maxi dress towards the end of my pregnancy and since I'm short it made it so I wasn't tripping over myself while maintaining length.
