TBS Graduation

What a whirlwind adventure this past week turned out to be.
After flying into New Bern to spend the weekend with the in-laws, the three of us we loaded up the car and headed to Northern Virginia. On Wednesday, we watched B graduate from the 6 month training program called the The Basic School (TBS).
The graduation celebration started with a family day at Camp Barrett. We were given a tour of the facilities, took AAV rides, and handled some artillery...with close supervision of course!

That evening, we got dressed in our Sunday best for the official graduation ceremony.
It was such an exciting moment for B, although I know his focus had already moved on his last school before entering the fleet.
I am SUCH A LUCKY GIRL!!!
The rest of the week was spent enjoying the company of friends...
Up and ready to go at 0600
Our fellow 0302 friends!
...and family.
We cheered for team Angry Birds (my cousin, number 20) at a youth soccer game!
We even attended a wedding ceremony or two!
It was such a delightful trip that left us both feeling giddy about the adventures and relationships ahead of us with the Marine Corps. It wasn't the most relaxing vacation, but we filled our time doing things we love and with the people we love, and you can't get much better than that!

Have a happy Monday, y'all!
I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have a little something to share with you all later this week!
